My only worry and concern is that, like many other aspects of technology, it's not that it's gatekept by people. It's that 90% of people are too uneducated, or genuinely too stupid to understand what it is on even a basic premise.
It's danger is not in that it is some all powerful entity, but that it is so misunderstood by all that may as well perceive it as magic.
