r/gaming seems to post a lot more varied stuff, but the amount of "setups" posts r/gamegirls is really hilarious.
But as the other Anon said, the color isn't a problem. r/gamergirls just seems to be a lot more simplistic. Obviously it is to show off at least to a degree, but that's most of reddit.
