I think you’re forgetting her childhood was just normal, and her siblings are all perfectly fine (unless you think kids being quirky or gay means they’re mentally ill). Drugs feel good, and she was encouraged to do drugs by older people she looked up to and wanted attention from on the internet. That’s it. Image boards were the worst possible thing that ever happened to her.
