>7 year warranty is as good as any other brand.
A potential downside is you are stuck to their service centres for service work and repairs, unless you use authorised parts and can show that outside work wasn't responsible for the failure:
>Non genuine, unapproved or unauthorised accessories are NOT covered by the KIA New Vehicle Warranty. In the event of a concern please refer to the express warranties of the respective manufacturers or suppliers.
>Such replacement or repair is to be carried out by an authorised KIA Dealer at its place of business

The second sentence in the second point is also a way of reducing the warranty period if you don't use their crap. Also, the capped price servicing can also be dodgy if you have a turbo and the car requires special oils or components not covered under the capped priced servicing.

Dealership service centres can also be a pain in the arse to deal with for warranty repairs and the manufacturers have no control over them. It took about six months for me to get one air bag replaced spanning over about a year of visits and the fault light was on for at lot of it. I was never certain if any or all the airbags would deploy but it was never really a priority for them.
