I suspect True Romance is semi-autobiographical - in the early 90s, a fast talking bullshiter called Quentin Tarantino sold a movie script to some holywood producers - that script was about a fast talking bulshiter who was trying to sell a suitcase full of drugs to a movie producer. Lots of obvious parallels.
