>>9112020, though, brought two things- the pandemic and, more importantly in April, an official comic. With people locked down inside their homes Dom started the Emmy the Robot webcomic on webtoons, which is where the comic is still being released and developed today. He also established a semi-regular release schedule- comics would be out every Saturday, some time in the late morning or thereabouts (at least in my time zone), and things were great. April saw more stories, more discussion and overall a more unified sense of fandom. On the flipside this is also when the first "fandroids" started appearing- essentially nandroid OCs based on stories, or based on nothing in particular, but separate from the comic. This led to an explosion of stories about them between Cindy (who's been largely forgotten, even being the first), Lulu, Avery, Cassy and others the introduction of fandroids saw an explosive expansion in fandom creativity as well as fandom friction. There was, and still is, a contingent of posters who do not enjoy or appreciate the fandroids at all, sparking the "Civil War" era. This period was exacerbated by a troll called the early poster who would wake up at the ungodly hours of a Saturday morning to make an early "Emmy!!!" thread or whatever, splitting people's attention and endangering the comic thread (since it could be pruned, which we'll see more of later). This extended forward through the Spring and into the Summer before, once again, Gosling Anon stepped up with OPing the threads for a time to try and combat the earlyposter. This is also where the fandom's first personalities developed, between artists like TLO, plat, Jam, IG, Nightlyg1, CptPop, rexhastala, keramagath, SCA and more as well as writers like STA (Lulu and Sammy), SLA (Lulu and Sammy nsfw), LaunchEscapeTower (Tilly, Tatyana and more), and others emerge and plant themselves. Many of the above artists were around earlier, but this point in the threads, especially as they made their own fandroids, is where they became rooted. Gosling Anon kept up OPing into the Fall, May saw the booru, and August 2020 also saw the discord being made, something to bring up later.
