It wasn't over by the weekend. It's been going on nightly, regardless of the day, at rates that normal people can't afford. If you live in any city and open your window, you hear constant fireworks from about 8:30 until 2 am or so. And I've heard that closer to low-income areas, it goes until 6 am. Someone with a lot of money has been handing out free fireworks to kids in the streets.
