I think the Moon's phases are caused by height compared to the Sun. When the Moon is higher than the Sun you have a full moon, totally lowered a new moon. That's why even during a blue moon (moon during daylight) the phase doesn't change, the bright side does tend to follow the Sun from what I could tell though

Why is it in every map of the planets they never have the shit going up and down? That isn't the case, they mathematically MUST move up and down
