Thats how it was with Mirage Sessions, which was especially a shit show because they initially advertised the JP Switch version with screenshots from the uncensored version.
I doubt they're going to change the JP script to accommodate the age change, and iirc it wasn't literally all her costumes, just a few. They also removed the booba slider from the character creator, but like I said, I'll be playing as a male so that doesn't effect me. Still gay though.
