There might be more postenings on my behalf about the Euro Cup 2020, so I looked up some rule changes I noticed. Well, one I noticed: I saw substitutes just flooding the field in a seemingly unstoppable torrent. Turns out due to "fixture congestion" (caused by the pandemic) players have larger burden of them, so all in all 6 substitutes are allowed (5 during the base gametime and the 6th in overtime).
They also added rules about rescheduling in case players test with corona, which I won't list, but good to know now such are in effect.
This cup (the 60th) is also special because the matches are played all over Europe, in many countries, who won the bid for one stadium, this is called "pan-European tournament format"; instead of the original one when one country gets to organize the tournament (sometimes couple of countries co-host it, like in 2012 Poland and Ukraine did).
Maybe interesting to note: only Budapest allows full house venues, other hosts decided to run the stadiums on reduced capacity due to covid.
Here are the groups.
For now only the Group A is decided, Italy advances with ease, I would have expected from them, if I had checked the tables first. The other is Wales.
Croatia isn't doing well in her group.
Good news is, if we beat Germany, and France does that with Portugal, then we will advance. The bad news is, for that we have to beat Germany (and I'm not sure France will beat Portugal).
