I know it came up as a possible medicine to treat covid, but I'm not sure who put forward the idea. Found a fresh news about it just now as I duckduckwent:

Here they administer Favipiravir (well they give you a receipt, or a box of it, but noone forces you to take it). That can only cause uncontrollable urge to walk and run around. And pneumonia.

Anyway the body is the one that heals itself, what is needed the chance to do its job as long as it can, with time - age - the body disintegrates on its own, organs start to fail. Medicine can help - for example by suppressing certain symptoms (like antipyretics), or kill off large amount of germs (antibiotics) - just as allowing it to rest (not spending energy on other things can help to struggle with the illness or wounds) and giving it the necessary nourishment (water, proteins, carbs, fats, vitamins, minerals). In fact the latter two are more important than medicine, if you wear out yourself in two full shifts daily or die of dehydration what's the point of giving anything else? If you don't eat well, don't give the energy to fight, and the building blocks to mend the wounds why bother? And we had articles saying healthy/proper diet doesn't help with covid. Okay they are right to say Vit-C isn't a cure, but it damn can help the body - just like Faripiravir (but in different manner) - so why not encouraging people to take it?
