Only insofar as they are willing to defer to and align themselves with the aims of the USG, which indeed bootlickers (several of them occupied by bases and tens of thousands of troops) have grown very accustomed to do even at their own expense, like Japan being pressured to relocate its all-conquering automobile factories to North America, Tokyo covering for the crimes committed by US troops in Okinawa, or having to apologizing for the chemical waste dumped from a US base, or the western Europeans "allies" being routinely targeted for political and industrial espionage by NSA, or the dropped French subs contract in this very discussion, in all likelihood a decision made not by the "fellas down under" but by the pentagon or some other military bureau, ...
Also while they might not carry a great deal of weight in world power dynamics, there is a world beyond "most of the major economies"

Also, funny peace that which is defined by the being almost constantly at war (consider: Trump not starting a new war was a rarity). And, as you know, when the US goes to war its allies and vassals soon follow (and this is precisely what that quote from the Australian politician that you shared is getting at)

Anyway, you have chosen the perspective of the "anglo-based world order" brought up (with slightly different words) by bernd, which while understandable is hypocritical to spin as a candid desire for the peaceable (to some) and prosperous (to some) status quo. While I would like to see a real international multipolar arrangement
