The 8chan refugee crisis
>August 2019:
the whole 8chan deplatforming ended up causing quite some problems to nanochan, right at the beginning of the month on top of all the pre-existent problems, a wave of very rude refugees from 8chan/pol/ started storming(ah ah) the website, with no care for the existing culture and userbase they declared nanochan their own bunker board and shitted all over the place, with the exception of the BOND fags which were respectful and earned a rightfully deserved a temporary home on nanochan for a while, users opposed resistance to this but the numerical difference was a major factor, in the end sakamoto just decided to hide /pol/ from the overboard and with time the problem fixed itself and things got back to normality, in the meantime the antipornfag was btfo, but asukafag continued his spam and attack relentlessly, forcing most pages on the website behind a captcha.
The great hapa war
>From begin of September 2019 to end of October 2019:
the tensions between the moderation and asukafag started quickly rising again with asuka employing vicious spam tactics like copypasting low quality threads from 4chan, using multiple identities and impersonating users, at some point asukafag was banned again this time in a more serious manner, enforcing this ban proved to be non without a heavy price though since asukafag stopped using a single identity, many innocent posts were removed during the great hapa war and in many cases asukafag cause friendly fire on purpose to generate malcontent in the userbase, at some point umarufag was recruited back as a gvol to fight the hapas although to his own admission he was useless and focused on basic-tier janny jobs instead, in September asukafag launched his own imageboard engine "picochan" as a rewrite of the original nanochan code first in Lua and then in LuaJIT originally as small as ~2000 sloc counting SQL and CSS, during this period anti-C and anti-UNIX activity got more frequent.
A quapa end to a hapa war
>From begin of November 2019 to begin of December 2019:
while the great hapa war was raging a new figure emerged from unknown shitposting territories, it is unknown if it was only one person or multiple persons, but it all started when he begain to impersonate asukafag, in the future this impersonator will become infamous as the quapafag, as opposed to the automated and subtle ways of spamming of asukafag the qaupafag employed manual and creative spam thread and reposted them over and over each time they were deleted, these thread often made fun of the moderation, propaganda or outright bullying(like that one post with the sakamoto furry porn), but other times attacked asukafag himself often with copypastas of asuka being quapa and his use of the avatar illegitimate or that quapas were superior to hapas mimicking his own meme, asukafag during this time also launched the first iteration of nanochang his own nanochan clone running picochan, after some drama about the release and conversion of the database he just decided to start from scratch, although there was in the beginning some activity the place quickly died, in the end the great hapa war eventually ended after lot of people were calling for sakamoto to resign he finally did passing admin position to endofunctor, also asukafag stopped avatarfagging after the quapafag stole his avatar, there is no clear way to say who won the great hapa war although possibly the quapafag got the highest number of "kills" although it is not even certain which side he was on though, now let's observe a moment of silence to remember that brave nanon which got vanned cause he had incestuous sex with his underage sister, never forgetti.
