It's a great way to both allude to both kabbalism, and to allude to actual history. Just like how Zelda has the jewish royal family cover up mass atrocities, XY which had the CERN programming basically has the palace built by a king 500 years ago (obviously the Versailles palace in real life since it's based on France), the 5th gym is in the Eiffel tower (masonic architecture) and it references a "Pokemon war" which split timelines. The villains try to use "Xerneas" to wipe out all non-yid bloodlines. Sun and Moon also has such references including Necrozma literally using Crowley symbolism.
Sword and Shield has the Cerne-Abbas drawings (which was also probably used to create Xerneas) and there are probably a bunch of other masonic allusions in it that I don't even know of. It takes place in Britain after all.
