I wasn't aware the Freemason lodge in Bratislava is named for General Stefanik as a tribute. I thought he was a living Grand Master, but apparently Stefanik died of suspicious circumstances. The (((Wikipedia))) article claims that Stefanik was shot down is "rumors" but the eye-witness to his death was First Lieutenant Martinelli-Scotti. the respected Zrínyi Miklós National Defense University in Budapest, in a joint article with the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik in Slovakia, published a paper, citing the Italian eyewitness First Lieutenant Martinelli-Scotti" However, there is zero mention of any Martinelli in the cited source. There is only Mancinelli-Scotti. Seems a strange mistake.

"On May 4, 1919 in this place died Dr. Milan R. Štefánik Czechoslovak minister, general and his accompanying crew first lieutenant I. Mancinelli-Scotti, sergeant H. Merlino and observer-gunner G. Agginuti. For eternal remembrance." How is it possible to have a deceased witness? The first black box flight recorder was invented in 1953. Here is the so-called 'eye-witness'. He died in the crash. It makes no sense.
