I would NOT trust what the corrupt government claims. That area will not be safe to live in for DECADES. Vinyl chloride, when burned, can create extremely toxic dioxins and poisonous gas. Don't believe me? OK, go outside and start a bon fire, then add a bunch of plastic PVC pipe to the fire, when the PVC pipe burns it will produce black smoke, so breath as much of it in as you can. See what happens to you.
