I am retired, taking care of an elderly parent. We have few options, but I agree with your stance.
I worry about a bank closure vs rent payments. The only way I can console myself is the rest of the residents will be in the same boat. Those Fed Res. bastards know we have savings, so they'll plan the bank closure duration so we will have to burn through all our savings paying rent, and then will be more dependent/compliant, when we become as fucked as everyone else. Having a home/apt during those days will be like crossing a picket line. But...
