I have a suspicion as to why they are doing that: 1) less talent and skill is enrolling into these corrupted overpriced universities today and 2) the students attending current universities are becoming too dumbed down to learn how to play musical instruments properly. Thus holding onto valuable instruments and maintaining these musical classes are becoming a waste of profit. I guess they'll have no choice but to expand more "liberal arts" and "diversity" classes lol.
