I'd feel like I was trapped in a nightmare if I lived/worked there. tbh most US cities are closer to that nightmare scenario than they are to the relative warmth and humanity of cities in other countries. everything being massive and empty is pretty unsettling by itself, even when the buildings aren't offices. I feel like I could only be happy in the US if I lived in either the countryside of some yeehaw state or in a specific neighborhood with some soul to it. It'd still be weird any time I left the computer though because the culture is so different
