I don't remember what prompted it but earlier today I was thinking about how viable and sustainable contemporary capitalism could really be. You know, with the iPhones and electric SUVs, and the women in the workforce, and the financial videogames, and the overtime and whatnot. It's such a different zeitgeist compared to what our parents and especially our grandparents experienced and it makes you wonder what's being sacrificed at that altar beyond the obvious/apparent things. I also think a lot about the tragedy it brings but that's just my whiny emo brain doing its thing
