The C3 Aircross seems like a good deal imo. It's very cheap for how big it is. Roughly the same size as a Compass (one inch taller one inch shorter) but bigger on the inside, especially the trunk. But it's the same prize as a mid trim compact hatchback. As long as you don't intend to go fast (which no cheap car is good at anyway) it's probably not a bad choice. Just have to keep in mind the chassis was probably taken from a rickshaw
