Been spending some time talking with Indian scammers since they decided to start texting me. Their behavior reminds me a lot of imageboard shills. What's most striking to me though is how they're incapable of recognizing when a situation is unsalvageable. I honestly was divided on whether the person texting me was a scammer and was just humoring them at first, but then after the first agent's attempts to extract information from me failed, a second agent contacted me from a different number - but he used the exact same script as the first, which confirmed without a doubt they were scammers. I tried telling them this, I laid it out as explicitly as I could, but they just refused to give up even though the cat was already let out of the bag. Ever since that experience I can't help but see the same pattern of behavior in shills and glowies online, how they just blindly continue with their script even after they have a masks-off moment that makes it impossible for anyone to take them seriously. It's like whoever trained them just forget when to tell them when they should cut their losses.
