That's not how it works!
The orb is a device used by the guild and operated by Freya as proctor. Meaning she and ultimately the guild is responsible for any damage that occurs to adventurers being assessed. Especially since Freya stated that the orb is not dangerous - which it clearly is. She even confessed afterwards that such injuries are 'not unheard of' without telling us first!
A device that can channel the power of any god into the realm of mortals clearly is extremely dangerous. It obviously isn't even firewalled so anyone from the other side has access to this world, not just a few canonized 'good' gods. I'm reporting this to my nearest inquisitor, enjoy your orbital virus bombardment of the entire planet in a few centuries!
