Since you did not experience any more ambushes it's irrelevant. I've decided that driving a cart is good enough for healing to occur over time regardless of resting or not, this is an immersion decision, though she is still one level of exhaustion and that won't go away until 8 hours of rest has passed. Since she was driving, zero hours of rest has occurred for her but she is full health. MP will still require actual rest to rejuvenate as that requires concentration to replenish. If there had been an encounter that hour I would have had to roll. Since you all were alert and looking for danger on the way home, no explicit resting has occurred.

I recommend resting 8 hours when you're done trading.
