Can you show me the math of Cat trying to burst the dragon's chain with bare paws (DC20 STR check) vs. hitting it (AC19, 10HP)? Is Emboldening Bond and Bless still in effect? I guess yes.

Cat has a crowbar which gives advantage on STR checks. She has STR+4 so she needs to roll 16+. She also gains +1D4 from emboldening bond so at least 1. I'm no math genius but that should boil down to a 50:50 chance.

With advantage from recklesss attack, hitting the AC19 chain with her sword+7 she needs to roll 12+ but also gains 2D4 from Bless and Emboldening Bond So at least 2. That's 50:50 without advantage or 75% with advantage. But then she also has to do 10+ DMG with 2D6+5
Too tired to calculate this but I think the sword is the better option. You're the math genius. If you feel just tearing the chain is better Cat will do that.
