Mills can be used to drill.
I'm amazed by machining at times. I wish I knew more about this stuff.
I assumed you'd need to do all the drilling on a drill press.
The overlap between mills and lathes still fascinates me. It is hard to learn about this stuff though. There is lots of jargon, lots of knowledge that doesn't generalise all that well, and lots of broscience.
