Funny thing. I had a past life "shadow" that went into the underworld and guided (mostly via torture and hauntings) my "lesser" not that interesting lives so they can return into their "full glory" later on. When I had a dream about it I ventured into a deep dark realm and there was a sorry looking peasant there and a dark entity on a stone throne. He was making a long speech about the necessity of pain. I said myself blah blah pain makes you stronger I know this lesson already... one of my earliest realization in life. Then it turned out he was a dark version of me and my mind suddenly merged with his. I heard his thoughts and while he had a gaze of absolute confidence authority and dread his thoughts were nothing but worries. It was about the terrible things that will happen if the peasant doesn't "Inflict self harm" upon himself. Then the peasant gave in to the pressure and stabbed his arm with a sharp red hot iron and screamed.
We need to overcome our trials.
Oh and if you finally find your "authority" you can set up the "rules" of your energy in a way that let's entities manifest in plain sight or you can deny them access. You will be the "law" that let's the entities enter this realm. This is why summoning circles are important so the entity can only appear within the circle and not cause problems otherwise. I had to proclaim that all my belongings and my family members are my "possessions" and no one is allowed to intrude on them except if it furthers my path/spiritual development. There is one tiny little loophole tho that I didn't realize for a while. When I get angry about a family member because they do something that I dislike they get demonic possessions and nightmares. I had to learn not get angry about tiny little things. (Overall it was good because they started to look inside of themselves to figure out what causes the problem and made them stronger overall but I sorta had the usual occultist opps I didn't mean to do that moment. And the only beings that "attack me" nowadays are the ones that want my attention for something because they have something to offer but I'm "not willing" to "see" them.
Oh and most entities needs your fear to manifest on this plane. Did you ever wonder why the Bible tells you to fear God? Why do you need to fear a "benevolent" being. That "omnipotent" being needs some lowly fuel as your "fear". So he can punish you further because you did something that makes you fear his wrath. You need to overcome fear and realize some other emotion that you "emanate" while dealing with entities. To me the "overcoming" emotion was excitement. Being excited that an otherworldy being dares to show itself on my home territory? Makes them back down if they are not all that "benevolent". They start to realize what will happen if they keep being hostile and an obstacle on my path.
