Re-reading what I wrote, I may have to clarify, that "unifying force" is not the same as being "leader-based" or "leader controlled". Islam is not functional by a hierarchy, is what I mean. You cannot make it non-functional by removing its leaders. Rather, having leaders in Islam makes it less harmful, and that is all. If you remove any competent leader, it explodes in your face, just like those pagers planted by Mossad.
Now they did this, it's like tipping over a container with acid kept on your top shelf right above your head, saying "if we just destroy the container, the acid stops being corrosive". Then your skin starts melting and you can't understand why.
