Dancing with tupper doesn't really make sense until you got this down so you can do it on autopilot. Otherwise you have no cognitive reserves left for imposition.
I highly recommend taking courses in a dance school. It's great fun, excellent workout and you get to meet lots of girls. They usually have a huge female surplus. My god these were the days when I was a bit younger but that's sadly ogre.
Apart from that, observing yourself in a large mirror greatly helps. Tupper has to mirror your movements which is not easy in the beginning. Start with strictly symmetrical stuff and not something where the woman makes other movements than the man. Just basic steps over and over until you can do it with closed eyes. Latin dances which are more or less stationary are good because you don't need a ballroom to move around. Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Salsa work well for us. Forget something like Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot or Tango unless you live in a mansion. You need lots of space as a beginner. Well first of all you gotta find out what you both like music wise and can do well. Take a beginner's course where you learn the basics of all standard dances. It's not that hard and absolutely worth it.
