If DD2 has any complaints, it's the performance. It tolerable, but depends on your tolerance too. It's usually worse in city areas which seems to be a common issue. And with that in mind it makes me worried how Wilds will run if the RE Engine is used for it as well. But then again it won't be one big open map like DD2, so it will hopefully be better.

Occasionally it would boot to a scrambled bios screen, and then no video output in windows. After rebooting the card had to be disabled/renabled in device manager to get the drivers to run again. Other people had some similar problems so I sent it back.
I'm pushing 3440x1440@144hz so the 6750xt struggles sometimes.

Does seem pretty strange, but not everything can go perfectly well. My old PC couldn't sleep all the time or I'd wake it up to have the CPU spike at 100% for several minutes, making it hard to even get past the password screen. Then the 970 would start creating artifacts if left on for several days at a time since I couldn't put it to sleep.

I read that AMD isn't going to come out with a better card than the 7900xtx for the 8000 series. considering the 4090 already smokes the 7900xtx I imagine the 5090 will be king for a long time. And I just don't care anymore.

you can get a 7900xtx for 830, while 4080supers are closer to 1200 unless you wait for a FE to get in stock. Similar raster performance.
I'm doing compute stuff with cuda at work so it's a bit more complicated than just gaming, so you'll probably be fine.

While I get that, last time I tried Nvidia with Linux was my 970. It could only run Portal within 40+ fps on medium settings. Maybe they were high. That was before Proton though so who knows.
