Did modern media kill our Imagination? 08/20/2024 (Tue) 04:45 [Preview] No. 4349
It just seems as though the people who existed thousands or even hundreds of years ago had a way more vivid Imagination, proven by the religious and philosophical texts we are able to study, the Egyptians for example had a vast array of quite magnificent texts/beliefs.
Do you guys think there is a chance that the Human brain eventually 'gives up' or 'dies' in regards to it's ability to internally visualise scenarios? out of a lack of a need to? Call it imagination atrophy if you will, I'm curious to hear your thought's.

You're in a desert, walking along when you look down and see a tortoise. It's crawling toward you. You reach down and flip it over on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over. But it can't. Not with out your help. But you're not helping. Why is that?
