SPEAKER NANCY PELOSI has led a fairly unified Democratic charge toward impeachment. She’s said consistently that Democrats don’t need a formal vote to move forward, but a few cracks have started to show. Rep. JOHN GARAMENDI, a Democrat who represents a district in Northern California, was on CNN this morning and said Democrats should hold a formal impeachment inquiry vote, as Republicans have been demanding. He predicted that’s what would eventually happen.

-- BETO O’ROURKE told NBC’S HALLIE JACKSON that he supports a vote as well. “I would love to remove that as a talking point or a reason for the kind of obstruction you’re seeing from the president,” he said.

OF COURSE, this is just a few Democrats. And Rep. RO KHANNA (D-Calif.) also told Jackson this morning that he didn't think a vote would work because the White House will stonewall. So, it’s hard to get a real sense if the process argument that both House Minority Leader KEVIN MCCARTHY and the WHITE HOUSE have been making is penetrating Democratic lawmakers’ thinking, since they are scattered across the country and haven’t had a chance to discuss the issue in person.

A FINAL DECISION will be made by Pelosi, who hasn’t ruled it out. But Pelosi advisers continue to argue that it’s unnecessary. They also point out that it was months before the House engaged in a similar vote during the Nixon impeachment process. And, even if Pelosi does move to vote on a formal impeachment inquiry, it’s unclear if the White House would participate. On a conference call Tuesday night, a senior administration official would not commit to cooperating with Democrats.

Did you do the ban or did they (the enchan staff)?
(I reported several posts but don't know which were from the same id, although i suspect the first two were from the same guy. Other were maybe copycats, less offensive but not good, makes it looks like there is support.)

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s publicist made a phone call to journalist Ronan Farrow in 2017 and noted the Harvey Weinstein story he was working on was a “concern” for Clinton, Farrow’s upcoming book alleges.

“Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators” gives a detailed account of the sexual assault allegations against now-disgraced movie mogul Weinstein and the cover-up attempts made by those “from Hollywood to Washington and beyond,” an Amazon book description reads.

Nick Merrill, Clinton’s publicist at the time, allegedly played a roll in pushing for the story to be dropped, Farrow’s book reads according to The Hollywood Reporter. Merrill reportedly called Farrow in 2017 and said the “big story” he was working on about Weinstein was a “concern” for the former first lady.

The New Yorker published Farrow’s Weinstein story on Oct. 10, 2017, and the story details a 10-month investigation by Farrow. Thirteen women accused Weinstein of sexually harassing or assaulting them, the article reads. Farrow’s book, available Oct. 15, delves into the cover-up attempts that he discovered during the investigation.

The Weinstein Company fired Weinstein in October 2017 and authorities arrested him in 2018 on rape and sexual misconduct allegations. Prosecutors indicted him for a third time in 2019 and Weinstein’s trial is expected to be in January 2020.

The Pulitzer-prize winning investigative journalist’s book includes an allegation that Weinstein used his long-term relationship with Clinton to try to pressure Farrow into dropping the investigation.

Former United States Ambassador to the Ukraine, Bill Taylor, is now suspected of being involved in the Ukrainian whistleblower scam. If not a whistleblower, the current chargé d’affaires for Ukraine and former Democrat Senator staff member, is certainly involved in the Ukraine Hoax.

Bill Taylor first came to the forefront last week in a series of texts released by Democrat Adam Schiff.

In one exchange of texts between Trump administration officials it was clear that President Trump was not encouraging the Ukrainians in order to receive something in return. Bill Taylor texted Trump’s Ambassador to the EU, Gordon Sondland, in an attempt to set up President Trump –

[Taylor] “As I said on the phone, I think it’s crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign,” Taylor said in one text exchange.

Sondland responded by saying that was not what was happening. “Bill, I believe you are incorrect about President Trump’s intentions. The President has been crystal clear: no quid pro quo’s of any kind. The President is trying to evaluate whether Ukraine is truly going to adopt the transparency and reforms that President Zelensky promised during his campaign.”

Clearly, Bill Taylor is involved in the Ukrainian Hoax. He may very well be one of the individuals who is hiding behind whistleblower regulations to protect his identity in setting up the President.

Every store of value has its strengths and weaknesses, but it's much much harder to erase your well secured Bitcoin amount than a virtual number in your bank account. If anything, it's much easier to attack a market value of Bitcoin. A wise move would be to not put all eggs in one basket anyway. It's still possible to buy precious metals - that's as independent of Federal Reserve as Bitcoin, or maybe, as some suggest here, even more. Or maybe even better, invest some value in your offspring.

And finally, the cryptography is not only about protecting the data from (some) government. It's also about protecting it from your business competition. A market value of Bitcoin can serve as a canary. If Bitcoin is worthless then everyone can decrypt everything. But I would doubt such a situation would happen during the next few years.

HONG KONG — Activision Blizzard became the latest American company to find itself caught between its business interests in China and the values of its core customers after it suspended an e-sports player who voiced support for the Hong Kong protests during a live broadcast.

Political pundits are trying to divine the true meaning behind the recent social media clashes between President Donald Trump and Utah Senator Mitt Romney.

A few days ago, Romney accused Trump of “appalling” behavior in his call for China and Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

Trump robustly responded in a series of Tweets that described Romney as a “pompous ass.” He also suggested that the people of Utah impeach their recently elected representative.

In the wake of Trump’s announcement of the withdrawal of troops from Syria, Romney tweeted that the move means the president handed a victory to Assad, Russia, Iran, and ISIS and he abandoned the Kurds. Meanwhile, Trump reminded everyone that he will wage an economic war against Turkey if they do something “off limits.”

These exchanges have led some analysts to speculate that Romney may be testing the waters to challenge Trump during the 2020 primary season.

For example, pollsters are pressing the news that Romney wins a “hypothetical” primary challenge against Trump…as long as said voters were strictly Utah Republican.

However, according to one of those infamous “unnamed sources,” what Romney really wants to do is to lead the Senate into removing Trump after the House impeaches him.

This is far from the first time Trump has directed administration officials not to comply with a congressional request or subpoena. The complaint, which previously accused Ghislaine Maxwell of being Epstein's accomplice, now also accuses two other women: Lesley Groff, whom the complaint referred to as a "secretary"; and Cimberly Espinosa, a former executive assistant.

As prosecutors go after Epstein's alleged co-conspirators, the line between accomplice and victim may be blurred

In the updated complaint, Araoz names Groff and Espinosa as defendants.
The complaint alleges the defendants "participated with and assisted Epstein in maintaining and protecting his sex trafficking ring, ensuring that approximately three girls a day were made available to him for his sexual pleasure."

"The co-conspirators provided organizational support to Epstein's sex trafficking ring, identifying and hiring the recruiters of underage girls for Epstein's sexual pleasure, scheduling appointments with these underage girls for Epstein's sexual pleasure, intimidating potential witnesses to Epstein's sex trafficking operation, and generally providing administrative oversight of his sex trafficking operation and ensuring it remained secret."

CNN has reached out to attorneys for Maxwell, who have previously denied all allegations levied against her related to Jeffrey Epstein. CNN has also reached out to Espinosa for comment.

Last month police searched Karin Models, which Mr Brunel founded.

"Will have 182 soon" sounded like an intriguing statement. I looked up California Penal Code - PEN § 182 and what did I find?

(a) If two or more persons conspire:

(1) To commit any crime.

(2) Falsely and maliciously to indict another for any crime, or to procure another to be charged or arrested for any crime.

(3) Falsely to move or maintain any suit, action, or proceeding.

(4) To cheat and defraud any person of any property, by any means which are in themselves criminal, or to obtain money or property by false pretenses or by false promises with fraudulent intent not to perform those promises.

(5) To commit any act injurious to the public health, to public morals, or to pervert or obstruct justice, or the due administration of the laws.

(6) To commit any crime against the person of the President or Vice President of the United States, the Governor of any state or territory, any United States justice or judge, or the secretary of any of the executive departments of the United States.

They are punishable as follows: When they conspire to commit any crime against the person of any official specified in paragraph (6), they are guilty of a felony and are punishable by imprisonment pursuant to subdivision (h) of Section 1170 for five, seven, or nine years.

When they conspire to commit any other felony, they shall be punishable in the same manner and to the same extent as is provided for the punishment of that felony.  If the felony is one for which different punishments are prescribed for different degrees, the jury or court which finds the defendant guilty thereof shall determine the degree of the felony the defendant conspired to commit.  If the degree is not so determined, the punishment for conspiracy to commit the felony shall be that prescribed for the lesser degree, except in the case of conspiracy to commit murder, in which case the punishment shall be that prescribed for murder in the first degree.

When they conspire to do an act described in paragraph (4), they shall be punishable by imprisonment in a county jail for not more than one year, or by imprisonment pursuant to subdivision (h) of Section 1170 , or by a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by both that imprisonment and fine.

All cases of conspiracy may be prosecuted and tried in the superior court of any county in which any overt act tending to effect the conspiracy shall be done.
