Note: it is possible to get a "banned" alert if you use an IP which was banned previously (it could be a proxy, or VPN, or even a legit residential IP if it is distributed as dynamic IP).
I asked when was the ban because I checked the last couple of days in the logs (they are public, home page has the link to them) and I've found no ban with the reason "real spam".

However some time ago in tandem with the usual cp spam there was another one that said "real rape of women" or something the like. I believe the ban message denotes that particular one. In this case the IP you used was banned some time ago, and wasn't issued to your post with screenshots of a libre vidya game.

Came up on the apropos of the Christmas Special that we should hold a recurring "movie night", maybe on monthly basis. We just might do that.
The first occasion would be on the 8th of February (probably would be the 9th for Australians). One movie, and maybe two short videos, as an intro and outro, might be related to the movie itself, might not.

Right at this moment, I can't offer a more exact date, for all the timezones it is hard to plan. Was talk about 21:00 PST on the 8th which is 00:00 EST and 16:00 AET on the 9th. However this is too early for Europeans on Sunday. Maybe we could offer two streams with some gap between.
Also no titles yet.

So ideas, suggestions are welcomed.

Occasionally some genius has the idea to make a board and embed a file hosted at his 3rd party server to 'harvest' the IPs of those who open that board and loads the custom css. It is generally not a problem but every once in a while such malicious actor appears. We did work on the content security policy (csp) to prevent these forms of attacks, but there were some issues, and no pressing demand, so the matter got postponed a bit.
Now we're re enabling CSP, and this might break things on site. We'll see how it goes.
Here's an example of this. The user also goes by the Delastelle username, he uses it on other platforms as well.

Almost all vpns are banned for spam. So when endchan is blocked in your country you either use tor (not very convenient) or use IPs from some shitty country with ping 500+ which are not banned yet

Consider getting a VPS and installing shadowsocks/vless. It's like $5 a month, there's a few that accept MIR cards or crypto, it's fast, DPI doesn't block it or throttle traffic, and you'll have a static IP just for yourself that isn't banned by websites.

I know this thread will probably get little attention. But, for petesakes, can someone do something about the options for moderating tools?
It's really clunky to delete and ban posts. You have to log in, go to your board, go to your front page, scroll all the way down to the post on your board that's breaking the rule, then you have to click Manage Thread and after all is said and done. You have to fill out a captcha to ban the post, then you have to FILL OUT ANOTHER CAPTCHA TO DELETE THE POST!!
To make matters even worse, the spam has been getting worse lately. So, it gets really frustrating to delete multiple spam threads on your board. On top of all this, there are errors when you go to delete a thread the first time. So, it takes twice as long as it normally should to delete threads.
So, if it's not too much of me to ask....Can you please streamline the actions that the BO/mods have to take in order to delete posts?
Like, can you make it so that you can ban&delete specific posts instead of clicking the checkbox of the post and then scrolling all the way down to the bottom of the page, fill out a captcha to delete a post? Is it possible for the BO/volunteer to stay logged in longer than thirty seconds so that way you can ban and then delete a specified post? Finally, when you click the manage thread button, does it have to take you to the dashboard? It's really clunky and time consuming to go back your board front page, find the post and then delete it. It takes ages and it's really tedious.
I know that there are probably reasons as to why the lay out is like it is. I'm just asking if there is a way to streamline banning and deleting posts. It's clunky and tedious, especially now since there's an uptick in board traffic due to the US elections, various refugees from dying chans and various other events going on around the internet.
I think it would be beneficial to the admin and to the various board owners to streamline BO/moderator actions and make it more user friendly.

ah hah, the fucking board owner of that board man.

Some backstory for anons who don't know about him: EndChan used to have a /baaa/ board that was owned by some random drawfag. The owner of the /ba2/ board had a problem with some random dude drawing things and minding his own business in his own board, so he decided to speend months to a year spamming and flooding his board on EndChan almost every single day. IP hopping a lotta times, then being a real prick by pretending to care about the guy in some posts after he flooded the board.

So the /baaa/ owner just got rid of the board. The owner of /ba2/, being the schizo piece of shit that he is, decided to add insult to injury by making a board making fun of the guy and the things he drew. I think the /baaa/ board was the first board owner here who was pretty much forcibly kicked out of his own board in EndChan's history, for doing literally nothing wrong.

I don't know if the drawfag anon is still on Endchan's discord or whatever the staff uses to talk here, but if any of the Global mods/vols reach out to him, he can pretty much confirm that it all happened to him.

Oh and P.S: A lot of the spam that the /baaa2/ mod posted here was literal Cee and Pee. And I mean he posted a lot of CP. You can see it in the logs if you dig back a little.

So EndChan right now has 1 board owner who spammed and flooded the site, who spammed a lot of literal illegal C and P into the site, who got one guy to quit and leave his own board because he just couldn't put up with that guy, who set up his own board afterwards making fun of the guy and the board that he spammed to death, who also spams illegal content in his board sometimes. We can't validate the events in the posts, and we don't know about the persons of BOs.
Imageboards in general are hard to moderate, there are a few techniques to change IP, and posting needs no registration. A dedicated autist with too much time on his hand can do lots of harm to those who just want to post and have their own fun.

Endchan's source is open, can be read and used, installed and tested. But by just opening a board anyone can have access to it.

I haven't got a lot of time to post right now, have to go to work, but I am requesting that you make it possible to set the thread limit to 0 thereby rendering new thread creation to zero or making it possible to alter the timespan for the thread limit or early 404s. Or making it so you can only make threads in a certain timeframe. This should make it considerably more difficult for CP spammers to create threads. Thank you for your consideration.
